About College: Sri Shanmugavel Mills (SSM) is one of the leading business houses in Textile Industry in Dindigul District for over 30 years. SSM Group’s strong desire to offer world class high quality Engineering Education has led to the launch of SSM Institute of Engineering and Technology at Dindigul from the academic year 2011-2012. The Trustees are optimistic about SSMIET to be a great landmark in the history of higher education in the district of Dindigul. Though the venture is new, it has attracted exemplary team of globally reputed stalwarts to transform the education initiative, a completely different one as compared to existing ones. Every care is taken to ensure that there is a new learning experience being provided at the campus. The management has pre-empted in providing outstanding infrastructure, smart and dynamic intellectual capital to students matching any international campus. SSMIET is endowed with a sprawling and huge computer center, broadband and high connective in the campus. A well equipped library with national, international and e-journals is a treasure of information and knowledge resource which enhances the learning process. Ergonomically designed and well fit audio and visual equipments in the class room a new experience to students for learning.

About the Event: RENNEN 2K18 RENNEN 2K18 is a National level Mini bike Design, Fabrication and Racing contest conducted SSM Institute of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul. RENNEN 2K18 is the first event in Dindigul to be conducted exclusively for mini bikes. By the RENNEN 2K18 we intend to bring out the scintillating skills of the budding engineers in terms of motor spirit. A Motorcycle is an Independent thing where everyone is passionate, when passion becomes need it brings out perfection. And we need the passion of young India to be brought out. Who knows probably the work of designing by the competitors could bring out a new model; satisfying Make in India. Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
