About Workshop:
- Research issues on materials used for high energy storage devices is an essential topic to discuss and equip the students of Science and Engineering for designing green and sustainable battery systems taking into account, criteria such as life cycle, abundance of raw materials and electrode recycling which are becoming crucial. For these reasons, much is expected of seeking new materials that hold the key to fundamental advances in energy conversion and storage, both of which are vital in order to meet the challenge of global warming and the finite nature of fossil fuels. Nanomaterials in particular offer unique properties or combinations of properties as electrodes and electrolytes in a range of energy devices. This workshop throws light in some recent developments in the discovery of electrolytes and electrodes for lithium batteries, magnesium batteries, sodium batteries and also theoretical approach to select effective materials for high energy storage devices.
