About Workshop:
In many real life situations, observations are made over a period of time and they are influenced by random effects, not just at single instant but throughout the entire interval of time. A Stochastic process is a random process evolving with time. Stochastic process plays a vital role in understanding the development of many natural and computational systems over time. It has applications in many disciplines including sciences such as Biology, Neuroscience, Ecology, Chemistry and Physics as well as Engineering and Technology. Fields such as Image processing, Signal processing, Information
theory and Telecommunications widely use Stochastic processes. Furthermore seemingly random changes in financial markets have motivated the extensive use of Stochastic process in finance. The Monte Carlo Simulation is an example of Stochastic process used in finance.

Course Objective: The objective of the workshop is to provide an insight into Applications of Stochastic processes to students, researchers and faculty in the field of Engineering, Technology, Science and Humanities. It aims to provide a platform to share knowledge through interaction between research communities.
